Gear up to work with the Job Connection program! We’re looking for motivated youth who want to work and gain job skills! Lakes Center for Youth & Families’ Job Connection program is in need of teens ages 12-18 to assist residents in the Forest Lake area and Chisago County who need help with common home chores or yard work. Popular tasks performed are: raking, shoveling, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, organizing and much more!

The goal of the Job Connection is to get teens prepared to enter the workforce. Teens will learn about skills needed for real jobs through the Job Connection training. They will then practice and develop these skills by working with local adults. Teens in the Job connection have learned to be accountable, timely, responsible, professional, and much more! One teen participant said, “I think it’s an awesome program. I’ve learned and gained skills; it’s helped me communicate better which I usually have a hard time doing.”

The Job Connection is a year-round program! It’s still the busy season, so sign up right away! Registration is all online. Visit for more information and to sign up!
